The atmospheric photographs with subtle seascapes constitute a dynamic visual stimulus which attunes the eye to the effect of light in the images. Landscape images are deliberately chosen to be complementary to the seascapes since the images are dominated by grays and white. Despite this the contrast is not harsh or unpleasant.

The beach shots – but through their curious emptiness and stiffness almost appear to be extensions of some architectural surreal elements. This impression of “frozen time “is further heightened by the shadows cast from cliffs which border on the beach and lend the images mysterious atmosphere reminiscent of Georges Seurat (1859-1891) Pointillism.
